Prof. Jens. K Perret, a guest-lecturer from the International School of Management in Cologne, visited the University of Economics – Varna under the Erasmus+ program for the purpose of teaching. He was here from 25th of September till 29th of September, giving lecture to Bulgarian and foreign first-year students majoring in "International Business" (taught in English) on the topic "The Bulgarian and German economic relations”. He also held an "Econometric Methodology Workshop: Which methods works best and when?" for PhD students.
Prof. Perret holds a Master's degree in Business Mathematics and Diploma in Economics. He later received a PhD in Economics from the University of Wuppertal on Knowledge Generation, Transfer and Utilization in Russia. He then became a professor of economics and statistics. Prof. Perret combines his practical knowledge with theoretical training in mathematics and economics. Тhis way, he provides his clients and students with the most complete view of current problems and the appropriate solutions for them.
Prof. Perret was hosted by Assoc. Prof. Kaloyan Kolev, PhD, from the "General Economic Theory" department, and representatives of the "International Relation Office" department. The guest lecturer is at our university for the first time and shared that he was pleasantly surprised by our hospitality and the sights of the city.
