Dear representatives of the innovation and business ecosystem,

University of Economics – Varna hosts Startup World Cup Varna 2026 – a regional tournament of one of the most prestigious global startup initiatives, organized by Startup World Cup and Pegasus Ventures. The university participates as an official regional partner for Bulgaria in 2026.

The event will be held on June 4, 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Black Sea Hotel, Bulgaria Hall, Varna. The tournament is part of the program of Evolvex Summit 2026 – a forum dedicated to innovation, artificial intelligence and intelligent business transformations.

The deadline for applications is May 10, 2026, until 11:59 PM, online, and on May 22, 2026, the ten finalists will be announced, who will present their companies on stage in Varna. Applications are submitted in English.
Ideal candidates are startups and innovative companies (1-7 years old), registered as commercial companies with the ability to attract investment, including EOOD, OOD, AD or equivalent foreign legal forms.

The regional winner will have the opportunity to represent Bulgaria at the grand global finale in San Francisco, California, where the finalists will compete for an investment of 1 million USD, as well as access to an international network of investors, mentors and strategic partners.

Startup World Cup has over 100 regional competitions on six continents and brings together some of the most promising startups, investors and technology leaders in the world. Hosting the tournament in Varna reinforces the role of the city and the University of Economics - Varna as a center for entrepreneurship, innovation and international business development.
