Top Rankings for UE – Varna in 2020 U-Multirank

For the fourth consecutive year University of Economics – Varna has performed remarkably well both as an institution and separately in some departments in U-Multirank, the prestigious international rankings. The 2020 U-Multirank edition has placed UE – Varna among the top international performers in education in rankings such as: the percentage of undergraduates and graduates, the percentage of university graduates for a standard period of education, the number of academic staff holding PhD degrees, the number of strategic partnerships, and the number of student mobilities. 13 Bulgarian higher education institutions have taken part in these rankings this year.

These results reflect the consistent hard work of university staff to enhance the quality of education, improve student opportunities in mobility programmes, and extend the network of academic partners for UE – Varna.

It is very impressive that some UE – Varna departments rank along top performing universities in terms of the international orientation of the departmental  master degree programmes and the international educational opportunities they provide to students.  Other departments are top performers in terms of the number of academic staff holding PhD degrees, and in terms of the feedback students share on their education and work placements.

These rankings indicate that University of Economics – Varna has been consistently attracting students with degrees that are internationally recognised and with training that meets the needs of businesses.

The academic governance would like to thank all students who took part in the survey, evaluated their university experience, and contributed to the international recognition of UE – Varna top academic performance. 

U-Multirank, co-funded by the EU, is a prestigious independent global customisable system of university and college rankings that highlights the diversity of the higher education system. The 2020 edition of U-Multirank showcases 1,759 universities from 92 countries, with over 100,000 student opinions processed. Recently U-Multirank has become the world’s largest international online rankings system of universities. The rankings offer interactive multidimensional comparisons in five dimensions of performance: research, teaching and learning, knowledge transfer, international orientation and regional engagement.
