The Embassy of Israel in Sofia is pleased to announce the opening of the application period for the Israeli MFA Scholarship program for the 2026-2027 academic year. These scholarships are offered to Bulgarian students as part of our bilateral cooperation in the fields of education and science.
Available Programs:
- Academic Year Scholarship: For Master’s (MA), PhD, Post-Doctoral, or research students (excluding Medicine and Veterinary programs).
The scholarship covers 50% of tuition (up to $6,000) and provides a monthly stipend of $1,000 for 8 months.
- Summer Ulpan (Hebrew Language): A 3.5-week intensive program at the University of Haifa during July-August. The scholarship covers tuition, dormitories, a stipend, and health insurance.
Key Requirements:
- Applicants must be under the age of 35.
- Academic degree (BA or higher) is required.
- High proficiency in English (TOEFL/GRE/GMAT scores or academic certification).
- Candidates must not hold Israeli citizenship.
