On April 22, 2026 exchange students from Universal AI University- Mumbai at the University of Economics – Varna marked Earth Day, by participating in a environmental initiative focused on sustainability and community engagement. Accompanied by their lecturers, Prof. Velina Kazandzhieva, PhD and Chief Assist. Prof. Todor Dyankov, PhD from the Department of Economics of Tourism Management, the students joined a tree-planting campaign in the Golden Sands area.

The initiative was organized by Grifid Hotels and the Association for Support of People with Intellectual Disabilities. The event took place at “Grifid Foresta Hotel”, situated at the entrance of Golden Sands Nature Park—an area known for its beautiful eco-trails.

The students' participation not only marked Earth Day but also fostered collaboration, environmental awareness, and a shared commitment to a greener future.
